Hey,

My name is Joey, a hybrid Creative Director, Producer, Editor, and Gamer living in Los Angeles.

I grew up living at the intersection of art and technology, always fascinated by how they feed off each other. Enter camera-left a love for film, and you have a Boston-native cocktail of new media that pairs with the future of entertainment.

Drawn to how one image talks to another, editing became my focus when I jumped into the world of film. After cutting my teeth in the unique universe of title sequences and VFX, I saw an opportunity in the ever-expanding world of gaming.

Joining Activision, my time working on Call of Duty evolved from Editor to Creative Director and Leader, as I helped build a team of artists into a driving force in media for the brand. My focus: pushing the boundaries of game capture and trailer production to tell deeper and more engaging stories, while continuing to successfully market a product.

With a growing desire to engage with new IPs and creative challenges, I set off to co-found a new company. Bringing together some of the incredible talent I have been so lucky to work alongside all these years, Todd Pruyn and I built Red Barrel Creative: a collective of artists and producers centered around video production, design, and branding for video game marketing.

From the creative to the technical, I thrive in the problem-solving mindset of the gaming industry. Whether at work or at home, I just want to excite new players to grab a controller that never thought they would have.

So what's next?

Craft Stories. Solve Problems. Inspire Others.
